Just Thinking

Your attitude + your choice = your life

it's all about choices
what is the easiest thing to do?
and what else is easy?
what would have the most impact?
and what else would have impact?
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
and what else....?

I know you've got short term obligations
stuff due today, this week, this month
but what's the bigger game you are working on
for the sake of what exactly are all those short term goals....

what's your role in what's going on at the moment
and knowing that, what do you need to do that is different

what are the old tapes running in your head about who you are?  About where you fit, about what's important about what you do, about your general value

After Action Review Process:
what did we expect?
what happened?
what did we learn?
what will we do differently next time

All thoughts thanks to Box of Crayons.  If you'd like more information search for his material or I'll help you find it.  Great thinking.  Do more great work!

Disconnection

some people have difficultly acknowledging their emotions because they have never been allowed to, and so they shut them off.  they grew up (or learned) that feelings were unacceptable

How would I describe the way I feel?

How is my body reacting to this situation?

Am I angry?
Am I sad?
Am I frustrated?

Why do I feel this way?

Lifehouse

How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head

If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness will turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright

I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
So why am I ten feet under and upside down?
Barely surviving has become my purpose
Cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface

Pow Wow

It has been years since I was able to go to a pow wow.  We used to go all the time in Arizona, as the local dancers practiced for competition and gave a show to the town/tourists.
In Madison, I was able to go to two or three, but this one was huge.  Over 350 dancers, a few dances that I had never seen before.

I'm only going to leave the pictures up for a few days because they take up so much room on my blog.  My granddaughter and I had a great time, and it was her first time to see this.  Honestly, I have never seen so many Eagle dancers in one place.  Certainly an honor
